We’ve received some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) throughout the year that might answer queries you have about Retreat Yourself. Please feel free to reach out to us via our social media pages or the ‘Stay In Touch’ tab on our website if you have any more questions.

Yes, should you wish to resell your ticket or gift a friend, you can transfer the ticket into someone else’s name. Ticket transfers are available up until 2 weeks before the event. For more information, please contact Howler at support@howler.co.za.
We have a resale platform open directly on our Howler ticket shop. Please only make use of this platform when reselling or buying tickets as there are plenty of scammers out there.
There will be portable showers and toilets available in each camping area, as well as basins for all your ablution needs. These are cleaned throughout the festival for your comfort.
We are a cashless event, making transacting as easy as possible due to the lack of signal at the venue. Each Retreater will receive a cashless wristband upon entry onto which you can load credit to be used throughout the festival. Although there will be top up stations throughout the venue, we highly recommend preloading your wristband and that of your children before the event to make your arrival experience as seamless as possible. You can do this by logging into your Howler profile at www.howler.co.za and following the prompts.
You will first need to purchase the ticket you would like to upgrade to. You can then email howler support@howler.co.za for a refund of your original accommodation type by sending Howler your newly purchased ticket details as well as your old ticket. They will refund you for the ticket you had previously purchased. Please note that all accommodation upgrades and transfers must be completed no later than 2 weeks before the festival.
BYO camping is included in the price of your festival ticket. There will be BYO options available in some of the camping neighbourhoods (check out our map to see where they all are). These areas all work on a first come first serve basis.
We have updated our glamping ticketing system this year! Each tent on our ticket shop will have a number you can select. This will directly correlate to the number of our tent at the festival. To ensure you are next to your friends, you will need to book your tents together and book an adjacent number (for example, Luxury Bell Tent 18 and 19 will be together). We will not be able to edit your tent number once you have booked so please be sure to book with your friends if you would like to be placed together.
